"Terra del'Arte" ("Territory of Art")

Inernational project of NRCU "Terra del'Arte" ("Territory of Art")

After a very successful performance of Beethoven’s 9th symphony during a tour in Spain, where the Ukrainian radio Orchestra for the fourth season in a row receives applauds in the most prestigious halls of Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao and Zaragoza, the work performed by Orchestra and Choir of the National Radio have finally sounded in Kyiv . The concert took place within the framework of international art project "Terra dell' Arte".
"Terra dell' Arte" ("The territory of art") was launched in 2008 and represents annual series of concerts, for participation in which leading foreign performers, the stars of world music are invited. Music pieces by  Puccini, Verdi, Rossini and Vivaldi performed by the Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra with soloists and conductors from Italy have already been performed.
This time the conductor is Spanish maestro Sergio Alapont. His conductor stick led orchestras in Poland, Germany, Italy, Spain, of Denmark, including Orquestra Simfònica Barcelona, Silesian Philharmonic Orchestras, Stuttgart Bach-College, Danish Symphony Orchestra, National Orchestra d'Ile-de-France. And now the first performance with Ukrainian team, the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of the National Radio. Monumentality of music created an atmosphere of solemn grandeur. Orchestral playing was distinguished by fine ensemble of teamwork and balanced sound. The maestro was able to inspire orchestra with conductor’s energetic impulse, clearly and accurately led the musicians and choir, who perfectly understood conductor’s plan and responded to his every gesture. Young soloists Valeria Tulis (soprano), Elena Kohutnytska (mezzo-soprano), Suren Maksutov (tenor) and Ruslan Pasichnyk (bass) brilliantly sang their challenging parts, whose virtuoso performance highlighted the culmination of the work "Be embraced, millions! " which is a hymn of modern United Europe. Hall gave a standing ovation! …

On the 26th of May, 2010 public had an opportunity to enjoy the great classical works performed by Korean and Ukrainian artists in concert "Sounds of Harmony” of the annual art project "Terra dell' Arte". With the support of the Embassy of Korea to participate in the competition from Korea to Kiev arrived such artists as Kim Hye Ying (soprano), Ho-Joon Chang (tenor), Kim Yong-Hee (violin). Ukraine was represented by National Radio Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine led by chief conductor Vladimir Sheiko, and soloists of the National Opera of Ukraine Alla Pozniak and Igor Mokrenko.
Korean musicians are the world-famous. Ho-Joon Chang is a soloist of the Vienna State Opera, and has ongoing engagements in opera houses of Hamburg, Bern, Dresden, Tokyo.
Kim Ying Lieu is one of the most famous singers of Korea, professor of vocal in Seoul National University. She performed on four continents with the best orchestras, including the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; Mozart Chamber Orchestra, Vienna; Orchestra of Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow; NDR Orchestra, Hamburg; Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra; Juilliard Orchestra.
Kim Yong-Hee began to play the violin when she was only three years old, at the age of four she was accepted to the Music of the University of Vienna and at the age of five, debuted with the Hungarian Orchestra Savariyi. As a very young soloist she performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Monte-Carlo, Radio and Television Orchestra of Spain, Radio Orchestra of Romania, Catalan Orchestra. She played on such well-known instruments as "The Red Diamond" 1732 and Stradivari’s "Da Vinci" 1725. CNN introduced her as the most brilliant violinist, and TF1 TV as a brilliant child (L'Enfant Prodigie).
Ukrainian opera school was represented by Alla Pozniak and Igor Mokrenko, the leading soloists of the National Opera. Drama, deep feelings, which reached sublime pathos, and at the same time, simplicity and truthfulness are typical qualities of performance of Ukrainian soloists that so impressed the audience.
Thus, works by Bizet, Verdi, Puccini, Sarasate, Lysenko, Rimsky-Korsakov were featured in the performance of prominent representatives of vocal and violin schools of Korea and Ukraine.
And all this was accompanied by National Radio Orchestra, which impressed the audience with high technical coordination, emotional saturation and brightness of performance. Orchestra conducted by maestro Sheiko during that evening was the favorite of the Ukrainian and Korean public, which generously awarded musicians, soloists and conductor with applause and shouts of "Bravo!".
